Cloudtreading Deer is one of the optional Yaoguai Chief boss enemies found in the Foothills in Black Myth: Wukong, defeating it will reward you with the Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders. Read on to know more about Cloudtreading Deer, its location, rewards, as well as a detailed strategy on how to beat it.

Found in Deer Sight Forest
You can find Cloudtreading Deer in Deer Sight Forest.
From the Deer Sight Forest shrine, head straight until you encounter a deer. This is the boss, and it will attack as soon as it spots you.
Has Two Phases
This boss fight consists of two phases. After you reduce Cloudtreading Deer's HP to zero in the first phase, its HP will refill, and the second phase will begin.

Conserve Your Spells
It's crucial to conserve your mana during the first phase of the fight, using little to no spells. Cloudtreading Deer becomes significantly stronger in the second phase, so you'll need all the mana you can reserve to survive.
During the initial phase, rely on regular attacks and dodges. Given the boss's large size, its hitbox is easy to target. Use the Pillar Stance to avoid ground attacks, and continue this strategy until the first phase is over.
Summons Tornadoes
Cloudtreading Deer can summon tornadoes once its HP drops by 25%. To avoid taking damage, simply run out of the area and wait for the tornadoes to dissipate.
New Skills in Second Phase
In the second phase, Cloudtreading Deer's HP resets to full, and it becomes a more formidable opponent.
The deer gains a new blood attack, hurling balls of blood at you. To dodge these, quickly run out of their path.
Let Zhu Bajie Fight the Boss in Second Phase
When the Cloudtreading Deer begins its second phase, Zhu Bajie will fight alongside you. You can then move away from the boss and let Zhu Bajie fight it while you stay safe and start attacking once the boss' health is low. However, this will make the fight last longer.
Additionally, the Cloudtreading Deer may launch balls of blood toward you from time to time while you're in the background, so make sure that you're ready to use Staff Spin to block the projectiles.
