When the Scorch Gauge is full, the Destined One will be Burnt and will receive burn damage over time. Burnt is the most common status effect in Black Myth: Wukong especially in the early game.

Burnt can be cured by rolling on the ground. To roll around, press the dodge button (Space Bar on keyboard, O on controller). Rolling into water or snow will immediately put out the Burnt effect.

You can also use Body-Cooling Powder to cure Burnt. Body-Cooling Powder can be obtained from Shrines and Xu Dog. It can also be crafted with Fragrant Jade Flower and Jade Lotus. Using Body-Cooling Powder will especially help in boss fights like Guangzhi and Black Bear Guani where you might not have enough time to roll around.

When the Frost Gauge is full, the Destined One will be Chilled and will receive frost damage over time. There is also a chance to become frozen. If you are attacked while in a frozen state, you will take extra damage. Chilled is most prevalent in the Chapter 3 area.

The fastest way to cure Chill is to use Body-Warming Powder. Body-Warming Powder can be obtained from Shrines and Xu Dog. It can also be crafted with Fire Bell and Jade Lotus. Be sure to prepare a lot of Body-Warming Powder before facing bosses like Non-White and Macaque Chief.

When the Thunder Gauge is full, the Destined One will become Shocked and will take extra damage from enemy attacks. Shocked can be a very deadly status effect so it is best to cure right away.

Shocked can be cured with Shock-Quelling Powder. Shock-Quelling Powder can be obtained from Shrines and Xu Dog. It can also be crafted with Gentian and Jade Lotus. Stock up on Shock-Quelling Powder if you aim to face Cyan Loong and Yellow Loong.

Poison

Status Effect How to Cure
Poison Poison damage over time Use Antimiasma Powder
Can also be waited out

When the Poison Gauge is full, the Destined One will be Poisoned and will receive poison damage over time. A lot of enemies in Chapter 4 use Poison so prepare in advance.

The Poison effect can be waited out but it will take a long time to do so. Make sure you are out of combat or are in a safe area to wait out its effects.

If you are not in a position to wait that long, use Antimiasma Powder to instantly dispel Poison. Antimiasma Powder can be obtained from Shrines and Xu Dog. It can also be crafted with Tree Pearl and Jade Lotus. Use your Antimiasma Powder wisely if you face against bosses like the Hundred-Eyed Daoist or the secret boss Daomist Mi.
