Charface	Magma Forged Take the form of Charface. Smash lava-forged blade on the ground, causing magma to burst out and damage surrounding foes. How to Get : Defeat Charface near the Height of Ember Shrine

Elder Amourworm	Foul Spray Take the form of Elder Amourworm. Spray venom from the tail to form poisonous pools on the ground, stacking Poison Bane on foes who tread upon them. How to Get : Give the Proto Amourworm item to Chen Loong and feed it three Rice Cocoons
Enslaved Yaksha	Mutilate Take the form of Enslaved Yaksha. Swing a long blade to stab the foe in the heart. This can stagger them for a moment. How to Get : Obtain spirit after obtaining all Spirit of the Captain items

Father of Stones	Brute Force Take the form of Father of Stones. Release two powerful roars that shake and damage surrounding foes. How to Get : Defeat Father of Stones near the Height of Ember Shrine
Flint Chief	Solid Stance Take the form of a solid black rock upon the foe's strike to deflect them. How to Get : Defeat Flint Chief near the Valley Entrace Shrine
Flint Vanguard	Flaming Flint Take the form of Flint Vanguard. Pummel the foe with stone fists, each strike stacking Scorch Bane. If the foe is ignited, they will also suffer Burn Damage over time. How to Get : Defeat Flint Vanguard near the steel ball's path from the Fallen Furnace Crate Shrine
Fungiman	Whirl Take the form of Fungiman. Wield a staff that spins like a wheel to charge into the foe and nearby yaoguais. How to Get : Defeat Fungiman in a cell near the Pagoda Realm area
Fungiwoman	Aloft Take the form of Fungiwoman. Drift through the air with a mushroom cap and release spores. Upon landing, crash into the foe as the spores rain down to track and strike them. Gore-Eye Daoist	Raging Blood Take the form of Gore-Eye Daoist, who wields a staff topped with a toad whose eyes emit a crimson glow. Stay within the glow and your attack will be enhanced. The staff vanishes on its own after a while. How to Get : Defeat Gore-Eye Daoist near the Windseal Gate Shrine

Non-White	Bone Spikes Take the form of Non-White. Spin and leap to draw near the target in a flash and sprout thorns all over the body to stab them. How to Get : Defeat Non-White in Chapter 3
Old Ginseng Guai	Ginseng Roots Take the form of Old Ginseng Guai. Take root to call forth one or more Ginsenglings that strike at the foe. How to Get : Defeat Old Ginseng Guai near the Towers of Karma Shrine

Puppet Tick	Bursting Spiders Take the form of Puppet Tick. Shake the staff and screech to summon small Stone Spiders to bite the foes. When the spiders perish, their venom bursts out, poisoning those nearby. How to Get : Defeat the Puppet Tick near the Relief of the Fallen Loong Shrine

Second Rat Prince	Boulder Crush Take the form of the Second Rat Prince. Leap with a mace to bash the foe's head. This can stagger the foe for a moment. How to Get : Defeat Second Rat Prince during the double boss fight

Swift Bat	Wing Flapper Take the form of Swift Bat. Unfurl your wings and stir up the gravel to strike oncoming foes. How to Get : Defeat the Swift Bat near the First Prince of Flowing Sands' area
Tiger's Acolyte	Sharp Edge Take the form of Tiger's Acolyte. Draw near the foe in a flash and hack them with a sword, dealing a single instance of Damage. How to Get : Defeat the Tiger's Acolyte near the Windrest Hamlet Shrine
Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top	Two in One Take the form of Bottom Takes Top and Top Takes Bottom, then combine into an iron ball that bounces up and slams down, striking foes thrice in a row. How to Get : Head back to The Emerald Hall Shrine and obtain spirit from the steel ball
Turtle Treasure	Skyward Take the form of Turtle Treasure. Ride a mallet upside-down, igniting the powder within to soar skyward. Upon landing, crush the foe to the ground with bones shattered. How to Get : Defeat Turtle Treasure near the Valley Entrace Shrine

Wandering Wight	Faithful Kowtow Take the form of Wandering Wight. Bow with utmost devotion and ram the foe with your bronze skull, dealing massive Damage. How to Get : Defeat Wandering Wight at the Forest of Wolves
Wolf Assassin	Soul Reaper Take the form of Wolf Assassin. Throw out knives that claim lives from a distance. How to Get : Defeat Wolf Assassin at the Black Wind Cave

How to Get New Spirits

Capture Spirit Essences

Some bosses or enemies will leave purple flames after defeating them. These are essences that you can capture once you have the Blessed Gourd, which you can get in Chapter 1.

Do note that not every enemy or boss will grant you a Spirit to use.

How to Absorb Spirits

Retrieve Spirits

If you weren't able to capture a spirit of a boss or enemy you previously defeated, you can return to any shrine after obtaining the spirit-absorbing Blessed Gourd to collect their spirit.

Spirits Overview

One-Move Attacks

Spirits are essences of bosses or regular enemies that you have captured. You can then use their Spirit to transform into them and execute a single attack.

This is different from Transformations, which lets you transform into a boss and use their move for a short period, rather than a single attack.

Requires Qi to Use

To use a Spirit, you need to fill up your Qi meter, found on the lower right corner of the screen.

Once you use a Spirit, you need to regenerate Qi again by fighting enemies. You can also rest at Shrines, but do note that this will make enemies respawn.

Can Be Upgraded

Spirits can be improved further by upgrading them at Shrines. Doing so will reduce the Qi cost to use their move.

If you want to upgrade your Spirits. head at any Shrine and select Cultivate Spirits under Self-Advance.

Best Spirits to Use

Some Spirits outshine others in terms of improving your offense or providing you some utility in battle.
