Use Your Gourd

You can quickly heal while exploring by drinking from your Gourd. This is done by pressing L1 on a PS5 controller and R key on a keyboard. You can also drink while fighting an enemy in case your health gets low in battle, but you may be vulnerable to attack while you heal up.

The default Gourd and drink can replenish 33% of your maximum health with every sip. If you obtain the Trailblazer's Scarlet Gourd pre-order bonus, you can receive full health if your Gourd is full.

More Gourds, drinks, and soaks can be obtained as you progress through the game that can help you heal at better rates.

Heal at a Shrine

Keeper's Shrines are scattered throughout the areas of Black Myth: Wukong. Offering an incense at these Shrines and selecting Rest allows you to heal your health completely, remove any status conditions, replenish your Mana and Qi, and refill your gourd.

Shrines also revive you when you are defeated by an enemy. Make sure to activate all the Shrines you encounter by offering an incense.

Use Medicine to Heal Status Conditions

You can get certain items in the game that can cure status conditions such as Body-Cooling Powder, which cures Burns, and Antimiasma Powder, which cures Poison. These can be purchased from the Shrine store, and they can also be crafted once you've unlocked that feature.
