The Venom Daoist is an enemy in Chapter 4 that you will have to fight twice to unlock the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area in Black Myth: Wukong. Read on to find out the two locations where you can fight the Venom Daoist and how to unlock the secret area!

In Chapter 4, when you reach the Pool of Shattered Jade keeper shrine in the Webbed Hollow, take the path to the right side of the shrine through the cocoons to find a larger one at the end. You'll be able to hear someone speaking inside the large cocoon.

Attack the Odd Cocoon until it breaks which will trigger a cutscene to reveal the Venom Daoist inside it. This will start a fight with the Venom Daoist, he will escape right after you defeat him.
After you beat the Venom Daoist the first time, you'll encounter him again later on near the end of Chapter 4. Continue through the chapter until you reach the Court of Illumination shrine.
From the Court of Illumination Shrine, exit the temple by going back the way you entered and take the left path. Continue following the path up the mountain and take the left path when you reach a fork. This will lead into a huge cave where you can fight the Venom Daoist again.
All Chapter 4 Bosses and Locations
Once you defeat the Venom Daoist the second time, you'll notice that a huge painting appears on the wall in front of him. Interact with the painting to unlock the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area.
Completing the Venom Daoist quest unlocks the secret area in Chapter 4, Purple Cloud Mountain where you can also do the Daoist Mi quest and fight other bosses.
