How to Beat Commander Beetle

Commander Beetle Strategy

Focus on the Commander Beetle

Commander Beetle has multiple followers that will attack you during the fight. The best strategy to beat Commander Beetle is to use Pluck of Many to fight the followers while you focus on attacking the boss.

Moreover, when attacking the Commander Beetle, chain together Immobilize, light and heavy attacks, and the Withering Wight spirit attack to quickly deplete its HP. Just get aggressive while your clones are still fighting the followers, and you'll defeat the boss quickly.

Watch Out for Its Delayed Attacks

Should the fight take longer, you do need to watch out for the Commander Beetle's delayed attack. When the boss performs this attack, it will slash with both of its weapons, pause for a while, then create whirlwind around itself, dealing high damage.

When the Commander Beetle pauses, do not attack it and just move away, since you'll certainly get hit.

Dodge Its Projectiles

Another attack to watch out for is the Commander Beetle's projectile attack where it shoots multiple spikes at you. When it does this attack, it's best to just move around the area and dodge the projectiles.

Use Wind Tamer or Withering Wight When It's Blocking Attacks

The Commander Beetle has a defensive move where it jumps back, say something, then hold one of its weapons up. While in this stance, it will block all your attacks, then do a counter attack.

One way to counter this defensive move is to use Wind Tamer or the Withering Wight spirit attack to knock it back and cancel the move.
