You can dodge in Black Myth: Wukong by pressing the X button on a PS5 controller or the space bar on a keyboard. Read on for more information on how to dodge in the game as well as tips on how to perform a Perfect Dodge.

Press the X Button or Space Bar

If you're playing on PS5, you can dodge enemy attacks by pressing the X button. For those playing on PC with a keyboard, hit the space bar to dodge.

Dodging Requires Stamina

Try to pace your dodges, since dodging consumes a bit of stamina. Watch your stamina meter carefully in battle if you're using a lot of consecutive attacks and dodges. Running out of stamina can limit your actions, making you more vulnerable.

The stamina meter is the yellow bar that can be found at the bottom left of the screen.

Dodge and Stamina Can Be Upgraded

You can upgrade your dodge by going to the Foundation Abilities in the Self-Advance tab of the menu. Upgrades include Simian Agility, which reduces the stamina cost of dodging, Deft Evasion, which makes your first dodge more agile, and several other skills that increase the bonuses for performing a Perfect Dodge.

How to Do a Perfect Dodge

Dodge as the Enemy Attacks

To execute a Perfect Dodge, you need to press the dodge button as the enemy is about to hit you. Once you see the enemy prepare an attack, get ready to press the button. You'll know you've done a Perfect Dodge if you see a duplicate Wukong freeze in the moment of the dodge.

Practice dodging whenever you fight enemies to help perform Perfect Dodges more consistently.

Perfect Dodge Increases Focus

Successfully executing a Perfect Dodge fills your Focus gauge at the bottom right corner of the screen. Focus Points are used when doing Heavy Attacks, allowing it to deal more damage to whatever the attack hits.
