Tips and Strategies

Best Items to Bring

Slumber Orb ImageSlumber Orb Petrify Orb ImagePetrify Orb Escape Orb ImageEscape Orb

Aside from the ever-important Apples and Reviver Seeds, you should also bring along an Escape Orb that'll get you out of a pinch.

Room-affecting orbs like the Slumber Orb and Petrify Orb are also useful, since it can keep Pokemon with Explosion at bay.

Best Pokemon to Use

Absol ImageAbsol

Since all the Pokemon in Solar Cave are Psychic-type, Absol is highly recommended. Not only does he have Dark-type moves, which are super-effective against Psychic-type, but Absol is a powerful Pokemon in general.

Pokemon to Watch Out For

Claydol ImageClaydol

The Pokemon to watch out for are Claydols, which can use Explosion. You'll often find a lot of Claydols in Monster Houses, so the aforementioned room-affecting orbs are a good counter against them.

Note to avoid explosions you might consider equipping a Pokémon with the ability damp prior to entering the dungeon. Be aware this means you cNt use blast seeds.

Claydols are also dangerous because they can use Hyper Beam
