Max Combined refers to the maximum buff that a character can receive through equipping gems of this type.
AP Up is a great gem to have at all times of the game. It can be equipped by the majority of your characters, and cannot be easily replaced by other gems aside from the same gem with a higher rank. This gem will prove its worth all throughout the game!
