How to Use Debug Mode (Creative Mode)

Debug Mode, also known as Creative Mode, can be unlocked by typing devcommands then debugmode in the F5 console, which you can open by setting the launch commands of the game to include -console. This will unlock a specific set of new commands which can be used in-game. You should see a notification that debug mode is on in the console. With cheats on, you can also use other cheats if you wish. Below is a list of cheats you can use.

Debug Mode Commands

Command Keybind Description
Z Turns on Flying Mode. In Flying Mode, press Space to ascend, Ctrl to descend, and hold Shift to move faster through the air.
K Kills all enemies in the area.
B Allows you to craft and repair all Items from the Tab-key Crafting Menu for free. All Hammer-crafted Structures can also be placed for free.

How to Fly in Debug Mode

Press Z for Flying Mode

Pressing Z while debug mode is active will allow you to fly. Pressing space will replace your jump with ascending, ctrl will descend and space will increase your flight speed. Press Z again to go out of flying mode. While Flying Mode is on you are immune to damage, similar to God Mode. Be careful not to turn it off while up high, you can still take fall damage if god mode is not on!

Free Build in Debug Mode

Press B for Free Build Mode

Pressing B will put you into a free build mode. You can craft and repair items in the crafting menu for free and create any structures without the needed materials! This is great for building any structure you want! Combine it with the flying mode and it is pretty much the creative mode of Valheim!
