How to Take Avalugg 1 Star Photo

Walking Avalugg

Take the two alternates routes in Research Level 2 of Snowfields (Night). Near the end of the course, you can find an Avalugg swimming in the water. The Avalugg will eventually venture into land and start walking. Take a photo of the walking Avalugg to get a 1 Star photo.

Breaching the Water

To take a 2 Star photo of Avalugg, you need to capture a photo of the Pokemon as it momentarily breaches the water while sleeping. You can do this in the ice cave after taking the two alternate routes of Snowfields (Day) at Research Level 3. To the right of the path, you can see an Avalugg in the water near Glalie. Toss a Fluffruit at Avalugg's back to make it breach the water and quickly take a photo.

Jynx Riding on Avalugg

After taking the two alternate routes in Snowfields (Night), you can find a Jynx riding an Avalugg on the water right as you exit the cave. Take a photo of the two Pokemon with Avalugg as the main subject to capture its 3 Star photo.

Avalugg Roaring

In Snowfields (Day) at Research Level 3, take the two alternate routes until you reach the ice cave. Play the Melody to make Glalie dance and approach Avalugg's tail. Toss an Illumina Orb at the Glalie to make it bite Avalugg. Quickly get in front of Avalugg with Turbo Boost and take a photo as it roars in pain.
