Lental Region Photodex: New Pokemon Snap List
There are a total of 20 Vivillon patterns in New Pokemon Snap! Jump to the Vivillon pattern you have not found yet.
In Park (Day), the Meadow Pattern Vivillon can be seen flying around immediately at the start of the course. More of them can be found past the flower field beyond the end of the course.
On research level 3 of Park (Day), turn around as you enter the flower field/final area of the course. There will be a Garden Pattern Vivillon following your path up until you enter the field.
There will be a group of Marine Pattern Vivillon flying around the area just after the short tunnel, where the main route branches off into the alternate route of the hidden beach.
You will encounter a group of Marine Pattern Vivillon flying to the right side as soon as you start the course, and again when you go under the tunnel at the end of the first area.
On research level 2 of Reef (Evening), you can encounter Ocean Pattern Vivillon in the area in between the whirlpool and the Wailord, as well as in the final area of the course. However, they're flying in the distance.
If you want a good score, you can get a close-up shot at an Ocean Pattern Vivillon when you light up the crystabloom nearest to the whirlpool. A Vivillon will come out and fly low in the direction of the Wailord.
Take the alternate route behind the waterfall. Jungle Pattern Vivillon will be clinging to the wall to your upper right, near the exit of the route.
When you descend onto the final area of the main route, the path across the waterfall, scan to discover 2 unidentified Pokemon behind the lush area to the right. Play the melody while passing by, which should cause a Jungle Pattern and a River Pattern Vivillon to fly out.
At the end of the giant crystal route, a group of Jungle Pattern Vivillon will fly over the grassy area.
Start Jungle (Day) on research level 3. On the swamp route, an Aipom will run over near some tall grass and momentarily stop. Throw an Illumina orb at the Aipom and it will cut the tall grass covering the entrance into a hollow tree. Look into the entrance and a couple Monsoon Pattern Vivillon will be inside.
Start Jungle (Night) on research level 2. When you descend onto the final area of the main route, the path across the waterfall, scan to discover 2 unidentified Pokemon behind the lush area to the right. Play the melody while passing by, which should cause a River Pattern and a Jungle Pattern Vivillon to fly out.
In Sands (Day), Sandstorm Pattern Vivillon can be found flying over the final area of the main route.
On research level 2 of Sands (Night), remove all the Lycanroc in the oasis area by repeatedly throwing fluffruit at them. When all the Lycanroc are gone, throw an Illumina orb at the crystabloom in the center isle. Doing so will cause a Savanna Pattern and a Sun Pattern Vivillon to fly into the oasis area.
On research level 2 of Sands (Night), remove all the Lycanroc in the oasis area by repeatedly throwing fluffruit at them. When all the Lycanroc are gone, throw an Illumina orb at the crystabloom in the center isle. Doing so will cause a Sun Pattern and a Savanna Pattern Vivillon to fly into the oasis area.
On research level 3 of Volcano, take the alternate route into the volcano. In the final area of that route, feed the 2 Typhlosion fluffruit until they leave and head into the ancient ruins. Watch the entrance of the ancient ruins (which is also the end point of the course) for a High Plains Pattern Vivillon to emerge.
On research level 3 of Forest, take the alternate route to the sunny spot. When you see the Espeon on your left, use scan to have it drop down. Feed Espeon a fluffruit to make it cross over to the final area. When it has crossed over, throw Illumina orbs until it licks its paw then leaves to summon the 4 Sawsbuck.
Now, look over at the sunny spot and throw an Illumina orb at the crystabloom in the middle. A group of Elegant Pattern Vivillon should emerge from the leftmost path (where the Autumn Sawsbuck emerges from as well).
In Snowfields (Day), you will encounter a few Tundra Pattern Vivillon in the second area of the main route, just after the steep climb. 1 Tundra Pattern Vivillon is easily seen flying around the left side of the area, but there are also 2 Tundra Pattern Vivillon clinging to the inner walls of the giant crack in the ground.
Start Snowfields (Day) on research level 2 or higher. A few Polar Pattern Vivillon will be flying inside the icy cavern behind the second snow wall alternate route, as well as past that, flying in the distance above the ice floes area.
On research level 2 of Snowfields (Night), a few Icy Snow Pattern Vivillon will be flying inside the icy cavern behind the second snow wall alternate route, as well as outside the cavern, flying past the Jynx and Avalugg to the right.
On research level 3 of Cave, take the giant crystal route then the second alternate route behind Mawile. Once you're in the grassy area, find the crystabloom to the right and throw an Illumina orb at it. An Archipelago Pattern Vivillon will appear above the ruins and fly around the center of the area.
Note that you can also do this if you follow the giant crystal route to the end, but it's a difficult shot to hit the crystabloom from this route's point-of-view.
On research level 3 of Ruins, a group of Continental Pattern Vivillon only appear after lighting all the crystablooms inside the ruins. After doing so, look behind you when near the exit point to find these Pokemon flying towards you.
On research level 3 of Forest, Modern Pattern Vivillon appears in the Autumn season. Get Espeon to take you to the Autumn season by taking the alternate route behind Trevenant then feeding the Espeon a fluffruit.
Once in Autumn, throw an Illumina orb at the Serperior on the left side and play the Melody to get it to move over to Deerling. Throw another Illumina orb at Serperior to make it conjure a leaf storm. The Modern Pattern Vivillon will appear to the right, above the exit to the next area.
Start the Research Camp course on the Lab side. A Fancy-Pattern Vivillon will appear above a tree near the houses. This happens after you throw fluffruit at the Starly in the tree next to the tables.
Start the Research Camp course on the Entrance side. Wake up the Dedenne sleeping on the NEO-ONE. Lead it to the bushes in the back to reveal a Poke-Ball Pattern Vivillon.
You will receive the Vivillon Collector research title for registering all 20 Vivillon patterns to your Photodex.
