How to Take Geodude 1 Star Photo

Stationary Geodude
You can take a 1 Star photo of Geodude by capturing the Pokemon while it is stationary. Though any Geodude can produce a 1 Star photo, the best spot to take this photo is before entering the gem cave in the alternate route of the Cave course where you can spot two Geodude headbutting each other to the left of the path. Toss an Illumina Orb at the Geodude that is further back so that it launches the other Geodude off the ledge. Take a photo of the Geodude left on the ledge before it does a one-armed handstand.

Geodude Cheering Itself On
To capture a 2 Star photo of Geodude, take the alternate route in the Cave course that descends into the gem cave. To your right, you can find two Goedude headbutting each other on a ledge. Toss an Illumina Orb at the Geodude that is further back. The two Geodude will stop for a moment while the illuminated Geodude cheers itself on. Take a photo before the two Geodude start to headbutt each other again.

Two Geodude Fighting
As you descend down the alternate route into the gem cave of the Cave course, you can find two Geodude headbutting each other on a ledge. To take a 3 Star photo of Geodude, capture the exact moment that their two heads collide.

Geodude Doing a Handstand
You can take a 4 Star photo of Geodude in the same spot as its 3 Star photo. However, you need to toss an Illumina Orb at the Geodude that is further back. This will cause it to launch the other Geodude off the ledge. Wait for a few seconds and take a photo of the moment Geodude does a one-armed handstand.

For the life of me I cannot get the 4 star pose of the handstand. I'm doing everything exactly as it says and he does not go into a handstand, he just moves around on the ledge. What?
