Superpower Pokemon
For the 1 Star Photo of Machamp, simply take a close-up photo of Machamp. It would be simpler to do this with a stationary Machamp; there are 2 on research level 3 of Beach (Day) and 1 in Reef (Day). Be careful not to use the Melody player, scan mode, a fluffruit, or an Illumina orb on the Machamp, or else it might award you with a photo of a higher star ranking.

In Beach (Day), taking the branching route to the hidden beach will give you a chance to get closer to a Machamp. Use the melody player and Machamp will begin thumping its chest. Make sure to take a close-up shot to achieve a 2 Star Diamond photo.

Surf vs. Turf
In the middle area of Reef (Day), a Machamp and a Sharpedo will begin racing. Try to get ahead of the two Pokemon (use Turbo, if you must) then zoom in and snap a photo of the Machamp swimming with all its might.

Anonymous over 4 yearsDoes someone know how to get a picture of Machamp at the very end of the Beach (day time). See the complete research map shown in this webpage https://www.serebii.net/newpokemonsnap/locations/beachday.shtml As you can see, it is possible to take photos of Machamp in three different locations and I am only missing the one at the right of the map.

For some reason I can't seem to get a 2 star machamp. I'm doing the steps but the chest beating only counts as a 1 star. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?
