Self-Damage In Exchange for Great Damage

Collbrande’s Shine

Caliburne’s Kindling

Collbrande's Shine deals significant damage with three physical attacks scaling with ATK. Its Level 2 provides a chance to inflict the [Fainted] debuff on Emerald soul characters, which can be highly valuable in certain encounters. However, Artoria damages herself while using this skill, which can be problematic against high-damage enemies.

Caliburne's Kindling on the other hand deals more attacks and has a higher base damage compared to Collbrande's Shine. At higher levels, it significantly increases damage based on the number of [Increased ATK] buffs. With multiple [Increased ATK] buffs, the damage output can become extremely high. However, just like Collbrande's Shine, Artoria has to damage herself.

Undispellable ATK Increase and [Multi-Barrier] Buff

Rousing Justice

Rousing Justice grants a significant and stackable ATK increase based on self-inflicted damage. It is especially useful if her team has self-harming members like Morgana, Dian, or Claudia. The ATK increase buff and the initial [Multi-Barrier] are both undispellable, making them highly reliable buffs. [Multi-Barrier] provides strong protection against large hits. It also works well with the active skills, maximizing their damage potential while mitigating the risk of self-harm.

Undispellable [Increased ATK] for Slowest Ally

Holy Sword’s Scabbard

Holy Sword's Scabbard provides a significant ATK boost to the slowest ally (excluding Artoria). The [Increased ATK] is undispellable and increases with skill levels. However, this only affects the slowest ally which might not always be the most beneficial target for an ATK boost.

Artoria Best Runes

Prioritize ATK, HP, and Debuff ACC Runes

Since Artoria's skills rely heavily on her attack power, prioritizing ATK runes will significantly boost her damage output. CRIT runes also increase the chance of landing critical hits, which can help her and her teammates land more damage.

As for her defensive runes, she should have HP runes to increase her overall health and make her durable in battle. She has an average base HP among the characters so it would be best to increase her HP since she will be inflicting damage to herself for the buffs she will be getting.

Artoria's skillset benefits from self-damaging characters like Morgana and Claudia. Her skills work well with characters who take damage and can make use of ATK boosts. She can also help her team by nullifying damage with [Multi-Barrier] from Rousing Justice. Amour offers self-regen, HP scaling, and Blight.

Morgana, like Artoria, boosts her ATK. She has HP recovery, which enables her to continuously deal damage without dying prematurely. Matilda also boosts ATK, critical hit chance, and ACC for her and the highest ATK ally. Claudia, also does self-damage and gains ATK boost and healing.

Level 1 (Unlocks by default) For the sake of her friends, Artoria’s selfless and steadfast heart shines with brilliance. Deals damage equal to 20% of her current HP to herself, and deals 3 physical attacks equal to 280% of her ATK to enemies at random. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 81) Additionally, if a target has an Emerald Soul, each time Artoria attacks, has a 70% chance to inflict ［Fainted］ on that target for 1 turn. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 161) The physical attacks’ damage becomes equal to 480% of her ATK.

Level 1 (Unlocks by level 11) As long as justice burns in Artoria’s heart, the steel she wields will forever shine as a holy sword. Deals damage equal to 20% of her current HP to herself, and deals 5 physical attacks equal to 320% of her ATK to enemies at random. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 21) The physical attacks’ damage becomes equal to 540% of her ATK. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 101) Additionally, if Artoria is enhanced with Rousing Justice’s ［Increased ATK］ buff, the physical attacks’ damage is further increased by 150% of Artoria’s ATK for each ［Increased ATK］ buff that is stacked (1140% of her ATK max). Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181) The number of physical attacks becomes 7.

Level 1 (Unlocks by level 41) Whenever her heart of justice fills with thoughts of her dear friends, Artoria surges with the strength to get back on her feet. If Artoria or an ally takes damage via dealing damage to self, this skill grants Artoria a buff that increases her ATK by 5% (cannot be dispelled). The buff’s stack count is further increased by 1 for each time she or an ally takes damage via dealing damage to self (4 stacks max). Level 2 (Unlocks by level 121) The amount her ATK increases by becomes 10%. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 201) Additionally, at the start of the battle, grants 1 layer of ［Multi-Barrier］ to Artoria (cannot be dispelled). If she takes damage that is equal to 10% or higher of her max HP, 1 barrier layer is depleted to nullify the damage.

Level 2 (Unlocks by level 141) The number of turns of ［Increased ATK］ becomes 2. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 221) The amount the target’s ATK increases by becomes equal to 50% of Artoria’s ATK.
