An Almighty Lesson

Gil’uial's main use as a character is being your top debuffer, with first skill being the removal of buffs the enemy's benefitting from on top of a small chance to inflict Silence on them. This makes her great to use when you're up against enemies that are massively dangerous when buffed like Amleth and her Invulnerability.

Her second active skill, Stardust, also has a 40 percent chance to inflict Silence on two enemies. She gets to hit three enemies when you get her at LR rarity (past Level 181).

Both her debuff abilities can be boosted by her first passive skill, 'An Almighty Lesson', which increases her chances of successfully inflicting a debuff if she herself is on the receiving end of one. This essentially increases the success rate of her Silence debuffs. Eventually, she'll get this boost if she's buffed by an ally's active skill too, though few other witches give buffs this way, and those that do could be more useful supporting your main damage dealers instead.

The Witch of Twilight

At base rarity, Gil’uial has access to her second passive - The Witch of Twilight - which gives her a CRIT RES boost of 40%. However, if you want additional protection for her (in the form of 3 Multi-Barriers), you'll need to get her all the way to LR rarity. If you manage to do that, though, you'll have a potent support witch that can take a while for your enemy to take down.

Give Gil’uial Debuff ACC, MAG, EVD, CRIT RES and EVD Runes

Since Gil’uial is a support witch, you can give set Debuff ACC and MAG runes, on top of ACC and ATK runes as her offensive runes. For defensive runes, give her HP, EVD, and CRIT RES. You can also give her Debuff RES, but you can hold off on it if you like the Debuff ACC boost she gets from having debuffs.

Due to the nature of the debuff she inflicts, Gil’uial can be stuck into many team setups. For PvE, you can pair her with your main attacker and their set of popular support witches like Merlyn, Mimi, and Primavera. If Merlyn isn't able to remove the enemy's buffs, Gil’uial can also be a backup buff dispeller.

Skill Effect

Level 1 (Unlocks by default) Gil’uial uses her magic to throw the enemy into a state of disarray, robbing them of their power. Dispels 1 buff each from the 2 enemies with the highest ATK. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 81) Additionally, after dispelling the buffs, if a target’s remaining HP percentage is 50% or higher, this skill has a 20% chance to inflict ［Silence］ on that target for 1 turn. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 161) After dispelling the buffs, if a target’s MAG is lower than Gil’uial’s MAG, the chance to inflict ［Silence］ on that target becomes 40%.

Skill Effect

Level 1 (Unlocks by level 11) “Rest for all eternity!” Gil’uial uses her magic to let starlight rain down upon the enemy. Deals 1 magical attack equal to 780% of Gil’uial’s ATK to 2 random enemies. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 21) Additionally, after dealing the magical attack, has a 40% chance to inflict ［Silence］on all targets for 1 turn. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 101) Additionally, before dealing the magical attack, if Gil’uial is afflicted with a debuff, the magical attack’s damage is multiplied by 2. Level 4 (Unlocks by level 181) The targets of this skill become 3 random enemies.

Magic can also be used like this!” When Gil’uial is inflicted with a debuff from an active skill, this skill increases her chance to inflict a debuff by 15% for 1 turn. Level 2 (Unlocks by level 121) This skill also becomes activated when Gil’uial is granted a buff from an active skill. Level 3 (Unlocks by level 201) The increase in her chance to inflict a debuff becomes 30%.

Level 1 (Unlocks by level 61) “I shall teach you how a witch fights!” The knowledge Gil’uial wanted to leave behind for future generations allows her to draw out her power as a witch to its fullest potential. Increases her chance to resist a critical hit by 40% (cannot be dispelled). Level 2 (Unlocks by level 141) Additionally, if a critical hit is dealt to Gil’uial, her chance to resist a critical hit is further increased by 20 percent (total increase of 80 percent max). Level 3 (Unlocks by level 221) Additionally, at the start of the battle, grants 3 layers of ［Multi-Barrier］ to Gil’uial (cannot be dispelled). If she takes damage, 1 barrier layer is depleted to nullify the damage.
