List of Contents
Resources allow you to upgrade equipment that are uncommon or higher. It increases their power, unlocks new perks, and even increases attributes. Depending on the type of equipment you want to upgrade, you'll need a different type of resource.
In addition to just upgrading gear, Fragments are a type of resource which allow you to buy new items from a vendor.
To upgrade equipment, you will need to have the correct type of resource. The table below shows what each resource is used for.
|Fragments||Purchasing Items from Vendors|
|Upgrade Module||Upgrading High-Power Gear|
|Nanite||Upgrading Melee Gear|
|Nanotube||Upgrading Ranged Gear|
|Catalyst||Upgrading Defense Gear|
|Plasma||Upgrading Heroic Gear|
|Polychoron||Upgrading Major Artifacts|
|Uru||Upgrading Minor Artifacts|
Resources can be obtained in any of the following ways.
Around the various levels, there are chests and crates scattered around. Crates are usually easy to find and break but contain fewer resources compared to chests, which sometimes has a small puzzle to solve before being able to access it.
Some enemies drop resources upon defeat. Be sure to keep an eye out for glowing drops and pick them up!
You can dismantle old gear in the Gear screen by putting your cursor over it and holding △. This will give you resources that you can use.
Any time you receive superior gear (with a higher power level, better perks, and higher rarity, etc.), you should dismantle your old parts to get more resources!
Faction Assignments are missions recieved from certain NPCs give rewards in the form of resources as well as Faction EXP.
Hero Challenge Cards are a series of rewards you get the more you play a hero. The rewards vary per level, but resources are one of the possible rewards.
Fragments are the most common resources found in-game, and it can be traded in for the rarer resources like Plasma and Uru if ever you find yourself with too much of the former and too little of the latter.
[Note: Our team is still looking into the best methods for farming resources.]
The best missions to farm resources are the longer missions with chests.
Condition: Green is The Hulk's Iconic Mission, but it can be played using any Avenger. There are three chests in the mission, each with their own share of resources.
Stark Realities is a good mission to farm resources from because it has a couple of chests because of its length.
Another area to do resource farming is the Enter: The Avengers mission. It has two chests in game which provide a decent amount of resources.
