Version 1.08 Is here!
This guide will explain how to farm resources quickly in the Marvel's Avengers game. Read on to learn what resources are used for, as well as the best place to get them to upgrade your equipment!
List of Contents
Resources allow you to upgrade equipment that are uncommon or higher. It increases their power, unlocks new perks, and even increases attributes. Depending on the type of equipment you want to upgrade, you'll need a different type of resource.
In addition to just upgrading gear, Fragments are a type of resource which allow you to buy new items from a vendor.
To upgrade equipment, you will need to have the correct type of resource. The table below shows what each resource is used for.
Do note that gear with higher rarity rating sometimes require a combination of different resources.

---|---|
Fragments | Purchasing Items from Vendors |

Resources can be obtained in any of the following ways.
All over the different levels, you can find chests and crates. Crates are usually easy to find and break but contain fewer resources compared to chests, which sometimes has a small puzzle to solve before being able to access it.
Chest | Crate |

Some enemies drop resources upon defeat. Be sure to keep an eye out for glowing drops and pick them up!
Note that you can even boost the chance of this by equipping Minor Artifacts with the perk Eagle-Eyed.
You can dismantle old gear in the Gear screen by putting your cursor over it and holding △. This will give you resources that you can use.
Any time you receive superior gear (with a higher power level, better perks, and higher rarity, etc.), you should dismantle your old parts to get more resources!
Faction Assignments are missions recieved from Faction Coordinators found in the Helicarrier and Ant Hill. They give rewards in the form of resources as well as Faction EXP.
Hero Challenge Cards are a series of rewards you get the more you play a hero. The rewards vary per level, but resources are one of the possible rewards.
Fragments are the most common resource found in-game, and it can be traded in for the rarer resources like Plasma and Uru if ever you find yourself with too much of the former and too little of the latter.
[Note: Our team is still looking into the best methods for farming resources.]
The best missions to farm resources are the longer missions with more chests.
Vault Missions are the best place to farm for resources because of the sheer amount of chests you find in them. You can even find DNA Chests in them that give you a better chance of receiving better resources!
Vault Onboarding Mission Chain Walkthrough
Iconic Missions are the next best place to look for resources as they're also pretty long, hence more likely to have more chests and resource canisters.
Iconic Missions List and Rewards
Threat Sectors are the game's basic War Zones, and they usually have three chests or more, along with a handful of resource canisters. Make sure to look for them!
