Heart Of The Monster Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	Go through the first area, battling enemies as you go. In the second area, just defeat every enemy in there to gain access to the train for the next objective
2	In this next area, your first objective is to defeat a set of enemies attacking the residents of the town.
3	Then, activate your Tactical Awareness to see that there are multiple "?" marks around the area. Start by going to the west. Battle through the enemies that spawn and go to the nearest "?" to rescue a SHIELD agent. Follow the next to the northwest of the map.
4	There will be some enemies here to fight. You will also notice that there will be a directional navigator similar to ones in the Vault missions. Follow it to a tunnel and open the SHIELD stash for some loot.
5	Exit the cache and head to the second "?" marker north. Battle the enemies there and get the loot. Head further north from there for more loot.
6	Activate the Tactical Awareness once more. Go around the map to the far end (northeast of where you started in this map) to the next "?" to battle more enemies. JARVIS will also mark some hidden loot in a warehouse.
7	Go past the main objective marker to the next "?" marker to reach some vehicles parked just before the edge of the map. Battle the special enemy there.
8	Head to the main objective to disable the gamma emitting machine.
9	Head over to the next marker to defeat the special AIM forces. After that, head to the next marker to get down to the lower levels of the city.
10	Defeat the Abomination in this room to finish this mission.

Heart Of The Monster Tips and Strategy

Use Ranged Attacks Whenever Possible

Enemies here deal a lot of damage, but are all susceptible to ranged attacks. Take out the Plague Drones and Purge Keepers whenever they are present, as they can deal continuous Gamma damage. Focus on dealing with the ground units via ranged attacks after clearing out the drones.

Master Dodging Techniques

This mission will feature very difficult enemies, including Prime Aegis Synthoids and SPIN Synthoids. Mastering when to dodge will be crucial to give yourself a good chance of going through this mission easily.

Solving The Puzzle: AIM Building

This is found at the northwestern AIM building of the map. Here are their locations:

Floor Switch

This kind of switch needs you to step on it for a second in order for it to be activated.

Locations
	These two are on the ground just around the entrance to the secret room.
	This switch is on the building directly on top of the secret room.
	This switch is on the top of the building just beside the secret room.

Solving The Puzzle: AIM Warehouse

This is found northeast of your starting point. The entrance of the room is on the floor (See the location of the 2nd switch).

Circular Switch

This kind of switch needs a ranged attack to be activated.

Locations
	This switch is located to the left of the entrance of the warehouse.
	This second one is across the first switch. Note that the blue area on the floor is the entrance to the secret room.
	The third switch is to the right of the warehouse.
	The final switch is across from the third switch.

Heart Of The Monster Enemies

Enemy	Strategy
Synthoid	Basic enemy that can be easily dealt with by combos.
Elite Synthoid	They dodge and have uninterruptible laser attacks. Dodge and counter.
Plague Proto-Synthoid	Avoid its poison attacks and land in your combos. Don't hesitate to retreat until the poison effects wears off.
Keeper	They have slow recharge times so get closer to them and beat them with melee attacks.
Purge Keeper	They fire poisonous projectiles so dodge it quickly. Close the gap and strike with combos.
Plague Drone	Dispose quickly by using ranged attacks.
Adaptoid	Use support heroics whenever possible as these enemies are sturdy. Alternate between quick attacks and dodging whenever they strike back.
Abomination	Avoid the lightning pillars in the first arena and use heroics whenever possible. Dodge his close range attacks then counter with your own.
Prime Aegis Synthoid	Use strong attacks to pierce through its block.
Dreadbot	Destroy the side turrets first and attack from behind to exploit its weakness.
SPIN Synthoid	Dodge their projectiles to avoid losing heroic charges and take them out as soon as possible.

Heart Of The Monster Boss Guide

Abomination

This will be one of the few times that you get to battle Abomination again. Since this is an Iconic Mission, this fight will progress the story of the Hulk as he battles a foe made possible thatnks to the gamma experimentation done by Monica Rappaccini.

Most of Abomination's attacks focus on powerful, but slow hits, as well as radial attacks. He has his own version of Thunderclap, and will focus on repeated ground smashes that sends shockwaves. If you try to get near, you will be hit multiple times.

The main strategy here is to stay away and use ranged attacks. It is highly advisable to use Iron Man or Black Widow here to quickly land in attacks from range. If Abomination turns his back on you to focus on your teammates, launch in combo attacks and then quickly dodge back to resume attacking from range.

If you brought Ms. Marvel in your team, have her use Healing Spirit whenever possible to ensure you survive in this long battle. If not, use healing packs located all around the stage when your Willpower gets low.

Heart Of The Monster Chest Locations

Enlarge Enlarge Enlarge	These are located at the SHIELD cache northwest of your starting point in Venture Ridge.
Enlarge Enlarge	In the second "?" marker, there will three chests. These next chests are in the open buildings around the small area.
Enlarge	This chest is found in a locked door in the same area as the previous chests. See the Tips and Strategy section to know the location of the switches.
Enlarge Enlarge	This chest is north of the second "?" marker. This is inside a smashable door.
Enlarge	These are in the room near the seventh chest. It's on the upper ledge of the room.
Enlarge	This chest is on the rooftop of the building east of the second "?" marker.
Enlarge	This is inside the hidden treasure room just east of the second "?" marker. See the Tips and Strategy section to know the location of the switches that unlock the room.
Enlarge	This chest is behind some parked cars just near the elite AIM unit.
Enlarge	As you complete the circle towards your original starting point, you will notice a small entryway to the left. Enter it to find this chest.

Note that dark brown / bronze colored chests may shift locations or not be present at all during a mission.
