Exp and resources gained do not change even if the difficulty setting is changed. This allows you to easily level up and grind resources and equipment with the least amount of trouble. It is also great for players who are not looking for a challenge and would like to focus on the story without worrying about combat.
A difficulty with balanced combat that is great for those who want to enjoy the story and experience some challenges along with it. This is the intended way of playing for anyone starting the game for the first time.
If you are confident in your skill you can choose Hard. This will increase the difficulty of combat, giving you more challenges to overcome with your skill. Do not worry about getting stuck with difficulty too hard for you as you can change any time in the settings menu.
The hardest difficulty Marvel's Avengers offers. This will give the most skilled players the challenges that they are looking for. Do not expect a walk in the park when playing this difficulty. If it is too difficult for you, the difficulty can be changed anytime in the settings menu.
Pause the game by pressing the OPTIONS button, then open up the Settings menu by pressing the OPTIONS button again. Head to the Gameplay settings using L1 and R1, then select the Campaign Difficulty.
The Difficulty Selection will appear and you can now choose your desired difficulty. After selecting the new difficulty and resuming the game, the gameplay will reflect the new difficulty you have chosen.
