How to Use Variable Dice

The 2.7 Livestream revealed that Variable Dice will be added to Honkai: Star Rail in Version 3.0 to further optimize Relic customization. Version 3.0 is expected to release on January 14, 2025 for the NA Server.

How to Use Variable Dice

Reroll Relic Sub-Stat Enhancements

Upon leveling up a 5-star Relic to Level 15, Variable Dice can be used to redistribute the sub-stat enhancements. This means you have another chance to increase a sub-stat you prefer over another or make a preferred sub-stat gain more enhancements than the original results!

You can choose whether to keep the original or new stat enhancements offered. However, the Variable Dice will be consumed even if you decide to keep the original stat enhancements instead.

Reroll the New Stat Obtained

If your Relic gains a new stat at the Level 15 enhancement, Variable Dice can also reroll the sub-stat that's obtained! Take note that the Variable Dice can't change the existing sub-stat types that are already on your Relic. Above are all the possible sub-stats that can be obtained!

Nameless Honor Battle Pass Rewards

You can get 1 Variable Die when you reach a certain level in the Nameless Honor Battle Pass. However, you need to purchase the Nameless Glory upgrade to obtain this reward.

According to the Version 3.0 Developer Radio, you can also use the Omni-Synthesizer to turn 3 Self-Modeling Resin into 1 Variable Die. There's no limit to the amount of times you can synthesize Variable Dice in this manner.
