Something Unto Death is the boss in Simulated World 9, which was released in Version 2.1.

Something Unto Death has the Losing Eventide Light and Watery Dissolution abilities which immediately kills characters and inflicts them with Morbid Dream. To avoid this, inflict Weakness Break on it during its Sunset or Nightfall states so the state will be dispelled.
Ruan Mei is especially good for this since she can boost the party's Break Efficiency which makes it easier to inflict Weakness Break on Something Unto Death. Welt is also amazing here since he can apply both Slow and Imprisonment, which delays the enemy's turn.
If you can't inflict Weakness Break on it before it inflicts your characters with Morbid Dream, don't worry since you can still revive them!
After a character gets inflicted with Morbid Dream, Something Unto Death summons a corresponding Sombrous Sepulcher. Taking out the Sepulcher revives the character inflicted with Morbid Dream and regenerates their HP and Energy.
Each Sombrous Sepulcher needs five instances of damage for all of their charges to deplete, so focus on them first!

We recommend using Imaginary, Wind, or Fire DPS teams when fighting against Something Unto Death. Bring characters who have multiple hits on their Abilities to easily take out Sombrous Sepulchers.
Make sure to bring a healer like Luocha or Huohuo since Something Unto Death can deal a lot of damage to your party.
