Is Baptism of Pure Thought Worth It?

Great For Dr. Ratio

Baptism of Pure Thought increases CRIT DMG and boosts it even further for every debuff on the enemy. This is amazing for Dr. Ratio since it synergizes with his kit, and the Disputation effect makes his Follow-Up Attacks more potent by giving them DEF ignore.

This allows Dr. Ratio to have even more damage on his Follow-Up Attacks and the additional direct DMG increase can be pretty significant as well.

Should You Pull?

Baptism of Pure Thought is a good choice if you want to boost purely the DMG of a character. Compared to In the Night, this Light Cone provides a better DMG boost for characters whose main source of damage is Follow-Up attacks.

The Disputation effect is amazing and the additional CRIT DMG can be used by almost any DPS. The only downside is that to trigger the effect, the character needs to have a damaging Ultimate which shouldn't be a problem for most Hunt characters.

Characters with non-damaging Ultimates or who have no Follow-Up Attacks in their kit can still use this Light Cone, but they'll miss out on the Disputation effect. This Light Cone is best for characters who use Follow-Up Attacks like Dr. Ratio.
