Soul Departure Summary

• Step 1: Go to the Exalting Sanctum.
• Step 2: Find Wenyuan in Aurum Alley.
• Step 3: Use the Harmonic Chime.
• Step 4: Let Ruoxi Go or Arrest Ruoxi.
• Step 5: Bring the Heliobus to the Tower.
• Step 6: Give the Pill to Wenyuan.
• Step 7: Make a Ghostly Grove Post.

Go to the Exalting Sanctum

The user who posted about his neighbor will be in the Exalting Sanctum. Meet up with him to get more details on the situation.

Find Wenyuan in Aurum Alley

Head over to Aurum Alley and look for Wenyuan in the marked location. Huohuo will already be there, so approach her once you see her.

Use the Harmonic Chime

Wenyuan will shoo you and Huohuo away. Use the Harmonic Chime to reveal the heliobus' true form and discuss with Wenyuan once more.

Let Ruoxi Go or Arrest Ruoxi

The couple still want to be together despite being aware of the truth. You can choose to either let Ruoxi go or arrest her. If you arrest Ruoxi, you need to defeat her in battle. Letting Ruoxi go will skip the battle and follow an entirely different ending. See the other outcome below!

All enemies in this fight are weak to Quantum, Ice and Lightning. Your team should ideally have at least two characters that match these elements to bring their toughness down much faster.

Use Amulet: Fiend Seal to increase DMG from Basic ATKs and Skills whenever you consume Skill Points. Since the enemies are weak to the same elements, it will be easier to use AoE attacks to target them all at the same time.

Bring the Heliobus to the Tower

Once Ruoxi has been captured, head to Fyxestroll Garden and bring the heliobus to the Swallowsong Pavilion suppression tower. Hanya will make an appearance and ask what's wrong.

Give the Pill to Wenyuan

After discussing what happened with Hanya, she will ask you to give a Longevity Pill of Cruelty to Wenyuan. Look for him in the Exalting Sanctum and pass the consolation to him.

Make a Ghostly Grove Post

Although Wenyuan is still pained by the outcome, you must wrap things up by making a Ghostly Grove post. Once the quest is over, you get the Pale Fire achievement.

Soul Departure Alternate Ending

Get the To Your Eternity Achievement

If you let Ruoxi go, there won't be a battle anymore and you won't need to comfort Wenyuan. Back at Fyxestroll Garden, you'll report to Guinaifen instead of Hanya about what happened. The achievement you'll get at the end will instead be To Your Eternity.

Unlocks a Follow-Up Quest in Phase 4

After completing Foxian Dream, Ruoxi will send you a text about what's happened to Wenyuan. Replying to her unlocks Soul Departure (Continued), a short epilogue quest to wrap up the couple's story.

She'll ask you to meet her at Foxsomn Tomb and seal her away in the Swallowsong Pavilion tower. Despite the bittersweet ending, you get an additional 5,000 Credits as thanks for letting them be together.
