First Encounter: Nervous Man

Nervous Man's Location
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Nervous Man - Map
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Nervous Man - Overworld

Use the Golden Theater Space Anchor then head north to reach the Nervous Man's location. Talk to the Nervous Man to know what's happening in the "Back Alley". Travel to a different area after talking to him to further progress the short quest.

Second Encounter: Glum Man

Glum Man's Location
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Glum Man - Map
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Glum Man - Overworld

After interacting with the Nervous Man and traveling to a different location, return to the Golden Theater Space Anchor then head north to reach the Glum Man's location. Talk to the Glum Man and listen to his story about those "Things". Travel to a different area after talking to him to further progress the short quest.

Third Encounter: Frightened Man

Frightened Man's Location
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Frightened Man - Map
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Frightened Man - Overworld

After interacting with the Glum Man and traveling to a different place, return to the Golden Theater Space Anchor then head north to reach the Frightened Man's location. Talk to the Frightened Man, he looks extremely scared and hysterical. The dialogue text will then turn red when you talk to him.

You will obtain 20 Shields and 5000 Credits after talking to him.

Fourth Encounter: Smiling Man

Smiling Man's Location
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Smiling Man - Map
Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect Smiling Man - Overworld

After interacting with the Frightened Man and clearing the Trailblaze Mission Young Guard, return to the Golden Theater Space Anchor then head north to reach the Smiling Man's Location. Talk to the Smiling Man to know what happened in the "Back Alley".

The Smiling Man will ask you to open the gate. You will then send a message to Gepard, asking to open the gate in the "Back Alley".

Get a Hidden Achievement

Honkai: Star Rail - Mandela Effect - Acquire Achievement
After interacting with the man in the "Back Alley" 4 times, you will unlock the Achievement "The Mandela Effect" in The Memories We Share category.
