Also, Before Dawn further increases the DMG of Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord due to it being considered as a follow-up attack. |

For most types of content, Before Dawn is Himeko's best in slot due to the DMG-related buffs it provides. But, Night on the Milky Way may be the better choice if you are using Himeko in Pure Fiction. |

With Qingque at E4, Before Dawn is considered as her best in slot since she launches a follow-up attack upon triggering Autarky. |
 Herta
|

Before Dawn is a good Light Cone for Argenti but his kit does not have a follow-up attack.
Argenti's main source of DMG is also his Ultimate. While Before Dawn provides a DMG buff to the wearer's Ultimate, a Light Cone specifically catered to buffing Ultimates like An Instant Before A Gaze is more suited for him.
Is Before Dawn Worth It?
Best in Slot for Most Erudition Characters
Before Dawn's ability is crazy even at S1. It provides a whopping 36% CRIT DMG increase, an 18% Skill and Ultimate DMG increase, and a 48% follow-up attack DMG buff.
With this, Before Dawn is a solid choice for most types of content since the alternatives are weaker and are also niche.
Should You Pull?
Before Dawn is a must-pull only if you enjoy using Erudition characters. For F2P and light spenders, there are free Light Cones such as The Seriousness of Breakfast that can be used.
While the alternatives are significantly weaker, you will need 160 pulls to guarantee Before Dawn and it might be better to just save your Stellar Jades for characters instead!
