How to Get the Secret EndingComment

To unlock secret chapter 3 you just need to finish all subquests upgrade gourd to max it on chapter 5, Do all secret stages, and when you unlock mountain (even before unlocking cloud) you go to great pagoda for chapter 3 secret fight

It's wrong that u have to fight the broken shell twice to unlock the secret ending. Right after collected all the armor pieces in chapter 6, u can come to visit Erlang and avoid the bad ending.

This guide didn’t mention you need to do all the secret areas in chapters 1 2 4 and 5 which also means you need to talk to the horse guy in each chapter do you can get into the secret area in chapter 5. Time to do yet another run for the secret ending… what a waste of time… really ruined my night… ****!

It's amazing how this site nd maaaaaany other sites deliver wrong information saying that you HAVE TO beat the game first before getting secret ending when actually u don't.

Just wanted to comment that you can go back to the Great Pagoda after you finish the Secret Areas in Chapter 1, 2, 4 and 5. Even before you defeat the final boss in Chapter 5 you can travel back to the Great Pagoda and get into the secret area and do the whole Erlang thing. You don't have to finish the game first and can get the Secret Ending on your first time through if you don't miss anything along the way.
