Description Blow forth flames where ash is laid, for days of glory soon shall fade. Transform into a rat guai, slashing at the enemy while blowing fierce flames at them, inflicting Scorch Bane. Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward.

How to Unlock Ashen Slumber Transformation

Defeat the Two-Headed Rat and Interact with an NPC in Chapter 2

There are a few steps needed to get the Ashen Slumber transformation in the game. First, you need to defeat a two-headed rat that you can find near Sandgate Village in Chapter 2.

Once you defeat the enemy, you need to exhaust all dialogue from an NPC hiding behind a house within the village.

Complete the Pagoda Realms Quest in Chapter 3

Next, you need to reach and progress through Chapter 3 and the Pagoda Realms quest in the chapter.

Defeat the Captain Lotus-Vision boss to be able to unlock prison doors in the area.

Loot the Weapon in a Cell

Head to the Lower Pagoda Shrine in Pagoda Realm and check the furthest cell to find a corpse. Get the weapon from the corpse to get the Ashen Slumber transformation!

Defeat the Rat Boss

If you did not find a corpse in the cell near the Lower Pagoda Shrine, travel to the Upper Pagoda and head down the end of the path. You will then start a boss fight with a rat boss, and you will get the transformation after defeating it.

Transformation Moves

1 Light Attack: Chop Wood
Swing the iron blade three times, building up Focus with each hit.
2 Heavy Attack: Blow Fire
With full Focus, hold Heavy Attack to unleash this skill, exhaling a scorching wave that continuously burns enemies ahead. The longer you hold, the fiercer the flames become. Dodging will not waste Focus built.
3 Spell: Fiery Burst
Release this Spell to self-explode, causing area Damage and De-Transforming simultaneously.
