Rough Skin | Increases your defense. Similar to Robust Constitution, if you are new to this type of game then this skill will be highly useful especially during early game. |
Pillar Stance | Allows the player to balance themselves on the top of their staff, avoiding ground attacks during the process. |
Exhilaration | Increases Health Recovery upon consuming a Focus Point. Another skills for surviving. |
Steel Pillar | Steel Pillar reduces the stamina cost during Pillar Stance. |
The skills chosen on this list emphasizes survivability and is recommended for beginners. These skills are great to have during early game to get you by when you are slowly learning the mechanics and getting better.

Found in the Survival skill tree, the Robust Constitution increases your maximum health each time you awaken this skill. This is a no brainer as you will need a lot of HP if you're gonna take on hard bosses especially during the later parts of the game.
Unless you want to challenge yourself by not increasing your HP, this skill should be one of your main priorities. Robust Constitution can be awakened 6 times.

As Black Myth: Wukong is designed to have difficult enemies, this means that you will have to dodge enemy attacks alot.
Since dodging will be one of your main survivability options in the game, the Simian Agility will reduce the stamina cost when you are dodging, making it a must get skill.
