This is a page about enemy respawn times in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (XC1). If you're wondering when regular enemies or unique monsters respawn, keep reading!
For your average enemy roaming the fields, simply skip travel to a landmark and all previously defeated enemies will respawn. This is very useful for quests that require you to hunt specific enemies that don't spawn in large groups so you don't have to wait long.

As their title suggests, unique monsters' respawn timing differs from regular enemies. While it may seem that unique monsters don't respawn at all, they actually just have a low respawn rate which makes it harder to farm them for better loot and exp. Just like with regular enemies, skip travelling to a landmark (or saving and reloading) has a chance to respawn a unique monster once it's already been defeated once. If you're looking to trigger a specific unique monster, just repeatedly skip travel to the nearest landmark until they appear. If your target is a little further away, saving and reloading near their position may be quicker, but keep in mind that they may not spawn in front of you without moving around a bit first. There is also a chance that when skip travelling to a landmark a previously spawned unique monster will despawn.
