Supply Routes Explained |
---|
|
Supply Routes are discoverable transport routes used by Merchant Ships to bring Refined Materials, Faction Commodities, and Silver between two settlements.
You can find Supply Routes as dashed lines UI Icons on the map. Take note that the start and end points of Supply Routes are settlements that you can trade with or plunder.
Supply Routes are good sources of Materials and Faction Commodities. We recommend farming lone Merchant Ships you come across by boarding them!
Before engaging, you can check available loot by hovering over the Supply Route UI icon on the map. You can also use the Spyglass on Merchant Ships by pressing R on PC, R3 on PlayStation, and Right Stick on Xbox.
Trade Routes are similar to Supply Routes. Trade Routes seem to focus on transporting Faction Commodities between settlements, however.
Supply Network Explained |
---|
|
The Supply Network is introduced on the A Covert Initiation Main Campaign Contract. It is a feature from the Helm that allows you to make Supply Deals with Helm Liaisons and to attack Forts and Rogues for Helm Raw Materials.
Once unlocked, you can access the Supply Network by going to a Smuggler's Hideout in Sainte-Anne or Telok Penjarah.
List of All Main Campaign Contracts
The Supply Network is the main source of Helm Materials through the following:
Once you accept a mission, you can mark the locations of Helm Liaisons or Forts and Rogue Convoys on your map!
Take note that these expire and change daily but there's a recent exploit we've discovered where you can get a fresh list of orders if you reset the game!
Supply Deals and Supply Deals (Roving) offer their Helm Raw Materials in exchange for Silver. Helm Liaisons can be found on Outposts, while Roving Helm Liaisons are sailing in the sea.
Notably, Helm Liaisons are the safest and fastest way of acquiring Helm Materials. You could even consider Fast Travelling between Outposts, but doing so will lessen your profits. When meeting Roving Helm Liaisons in the sea, interact and do not attack them!
Alternatively, you can choose to hunt and plunder Rogue Convoys or Forts. You do not have to pay Silver for the Helm Materials, but you need to engage in combat.
Rogue Hunts will target Rogue Convoys from one of the four factions of the Rogues:
The Rogues | |
---|---|
Eels | Orcas |
Wyrms | Gannets |
Rogue Hunts are also great for farming Helm Materials like Eel's Twine that can be obtained through faction-specific Rogues.
On the other hand, Fort Plunders offer much more valuable materials for free, but you will have to siege heavily guarded forts and settlements. Consider starting Fort Plunders in a group and stock your ships with the best loadouts.
