How to Unlock The Helm |

|
Before you can unlock The Helm, you need to reach the Infamy Rank Brigand first.
You can reach this rank by simply playing the game! Completing main and side contracts, participating in world events, finding treasures, and plundering settlements all give you infamy points.
You'll reach Brigand in no time as long as you keep playing the game.
Next, you'll want to start the A Covert Initiation main contract. This will lead you to a letter in your mailbox that's essentially an invitation to The Helm.
Finally, head for Le Pont Muet — a bar located at the eastern area of Sainte-Anne.
Talk to Yanita, the barkeep, and pay a small donation fee of 2,500 Silver so she can introduce you to The Helm through a series of contracts.

How to Unlock All The Helm Facilities |

|
All Helm Facilities can be unlocked by following the contract “Taking the Helm”. This questline will guide you through the different parts of the smuggling operations run by the Nara sisters.
The Supply Network is your main source of Helm materials. It provides you with opportunities to get supplies for the distillery through Supply Deals, Mobile Dealers, Rogue Hunts, and Plundering Forts.
To see the latest opportunities to get Helm materials, simply interact with the Supply Network board at a Smuggler's Hideout.
Once you have gathered enough materials from the Supply Network, you can head over to the Distillery or Laboratory to start creating your trade goods.
The process of making the goods may take a while depending on how much materials you're going to process. It's better to do something else while you wait for your product to be distilled.
Here are the various goods you can produce in the Distillery in Saint-Anne and Telok Pejarah:
Trade Goods | |
---|---|
1 | White Skull Rum |
2 | Blue Lotus Opium |
3 | Gold Skull Rum |
4 | Black Lotus Opium |
5 | White Skull Gin |
6 | Gold Skull Gin |
7 | Black Snuff |
8 | White Snuff |
Once your wares are done, head over to the Order Registry to deliver them.
The Order Registry lists down orders from different smugglers whom you can sell your wares to.
Accepting an order disables fast travel until all of your deliveries have been completed. Be warned that enemies will also come after you as you deliver your goods.
Once you're ready to deliver your wares, simply interact with the Order Registry at the Smuggler's Hideout.
The first helm location you'll run into is the one in Sainte-Anne that's run by Yanita. She will introduce you to the ins and outs of The Helm.

The second helm location in Skull and Bones is in Telok Penjarah and it's run by Yanita's sister — Houma. Almost everything that you can do at The Helm in Sainte-Anne can also be done at their branch in Telok Penjarah.
The only difference is that The Helm in Sainte-Anne is the one producing Alcoholic goods while The Helm in Telok Penjarah produces Opium.

You can upgrade the facilities in the Helm to produce more illegal goods and get better offers from overseas smugglers.
However, there's currently an error in the game where it tells you that your Helm upgrades will reset in 10 days.
The Skull and Bones team has already addressed this through a tweet. They mentioned that every upgrade you've ever made to your smuggling operations at The Helm will only reset at the end of each season.
