What to Do if Vendors Won’t Talk to You

Complete Main Campaign Contracts

Skull and Bones - Complete Main Contracts

You can talk to the vendors through their corresponding introductions in Main Campaign Contracts:

Vendor Main Campaign Contract Requirement
Hawker Immediately available when arriving in Saint-Anne.
Carpenter Tools of the Trade
Shipwright Tools of the Trade
Blacksmith Arms and Guns
Refiner Unwelcome Aboard
Commodity Trader A Seaworthy Ship

We recommend focusing on completing the Main Campaign Contracts first. The early Main Campaign Contracts acquaint you with the game's NPCs and teach you to navigate the game's menus.

You Can Talk to the Vanity Atelier Early

Skull and Bones - Vanity Atelier
The Dressed to Kill Main Campaign Contract introduces the Vanity Atelier to players, but you can access her shop and customization options much earlier! You will lack Silver to buy emotes and clothes, but you can change your character's appearance.

Thus, you do not need to start over to change the character's appearance. The Vanity Atelier presents the same character customization options as character creation!
