Skull and Bones is a live service game that requires an internet connection to play. Even though joining PvP is optional, the design of the game for seamless PvPvE makes it so multiple players in a server can team up or battle each other anytime.
PlayStation players need PS Plus to play Skull and Bones, since it is an online-only game. Currently, there 3 PlayStation Plus subscription plans; PS Plus Essential at $9.99/month, PS Plus Extra at $14.99/month, and PS Plus Premium at $17.99/month.
Xbox Game Pass is required to play Skull and Bones due to its online-only aspect. However, other versions of Game Pass can be perkier than the regular one.
