How to PvP

How to Join a PvP World Event

Wait for World Event Notifications

You will get a notication on your screen when a World Event starts or is currently underway once you log-in, and will list the name of the PvP World Event and the reward you can get if you win!

Wait for the Event to Start

Once you join the World Event, you can open the quest log to see the current participants and check how long until the World Event starts.

Once you join a PvP World Event, you're automatically marked as a Rival to all participants. Use this time to stock up on provisions and ammo for the upcoming event!

Head to the World Event Location

You'll need to actually head to the location of the PvP World Event to participate! Use the waiting time to chart a course to the PvP location and get there as fast as you can!

If you have outposts unlocked near the World Event area, we recommend fast traveling to the nearest location.

There are currently no PvP-only servers as of the Open Beta and Ubisoft has not announced or mentioned any news regarding dedicated PvP servers. We'll keep you up-to-date as more information gets revealed!

Is There Open Sea Combat?

Skull and Bones - Sunken Ship

Open Sea Combat is currently unavailable in Skull and Bones' Open Beta. While it's possible to shoot or ram other player's ships, they won't take damage.

While the current World Events allow players to directly compete with one another, these PvP events are more of a race against one another rather than naval warfare between players.

Is PvP Optional?
