How to Join a PvP World Event |
---|
|
You will get a notication on your screen when a World Event starts or is currently underway once you log-in, and will list the name of the PvP World Event and the reward you can get if you win!
Once you join the World Event, you can open the quest log to see the current participants and check how long until the World Event starts.
Once you join a PvP World Event, you're automatically marked as a Rival to all participants. Use this time to stock up on provisions and ammo for the upcoming event!
You'll need to actually head to the location of the PvP World Event to participate! Use the waiting time to chart a course to the PvP location and get there as fast as you can!
If you have outposts unlocked near the World Event area, we recommend fast traveling to the nearest location.
Skull and Bones offers both PvE and PvP content into its multiplayer. You are free to pursue the game's main story or plunder ships and settlements on your own, or engage with other players in competitive game modes for better rewards!
Although PvP is currently optional, we recommend doing both PvE and PvP content to fully experience what the game has to offer!
World Event | Description |
---|---|
Hostile Takeover | Attack an outpost with a production chain and take them for yourselves. This is an open-world event, and other players will race against you. |
Hostile Takeover is a hybrid PvP and PvE world event where players attack an outpost with a production chain, dealing enough damage to the towers to claim the outpost's production for yourself.
During the event, you'll need to defend the outpost from NPC ships while preventing other players from attempting to take over your production!

Cutthroat Cargo | Plunder a Merchant Ship and deliver the cargo to the designated port. Other players can participate in this event, and you can steal the cargo they stole and they can do the same to you. |
Cutthroat Cargo Hunt is a PvP World Event where players attack a heavily armored ship convoy to steal their cargo, then race towards the designated port.
Once you manage to steal the merchant convoy's cargo, other players can attack you to steal your cargo. You'll need to race and evade other players looking to steal your stolen cargo and reach the port to receive the reward!
There are currently no PvP-only servers as of the Open Beta and Ubisoft has not announced or mentioned any news regarding dedicated PvP servers. We'll keep you up-to-date as more information gets revealed!
Open Sea Combat is currently unavailable in Skull and Bones' Open Beta. While it's possible to shoot or ram other player's ships, they won't take damage.
While the current World Events allow players to directly compete with one another, these PvP events are more of a race against one another rather than naval warfare between players.
PvP is optional in Skull and Bones, but offers better rewards such as Legendary Treasure Maps that lead to loot that you can't find anywhere else in the game!
