Hostille Takeover is a legendary heist hybrid PvP and PvE World Event where players attempt to take over an outpost with a production chain.
After dealing enough damage to claim the outpost's production, you'll need to defend against NPC ships attempting to retake the outpost all while preventing other players from attempting to take over your production!

Ship Rank 5 or higher is recommended when playing Cutthroat Cargo. While this World Event has you complete with other players, you can't damage or sink them. Instead, the race is between who deals the most damage to the outpost to secure production!
Since this world event involves maintaining damage on the outpost and defending against NPC ships, we recommend bringing a DPS Ship such as the Bombardier Padewakang.
How to Win at Hostile Takeovers
Bounties are contracts that require you to hunt down Elite Captains terrorizing the seas. While you can accept the contract to hunt these captains down, other players can join the battle even if they haven't accepted any contracts!
Successfully taking down these Elite Captains rewards a random selection of loot that includes a Treasure Chest as well as Infamy.
Even without accepting a contract bounty, you can join the fray against these Elite Captains if they appear on the map!
We recommend grouping up with other players so you can more effectively take down these captains and get the share of the loot!
Kuharibu is a world boss located in the Western Basin that you unlock by starting the From the Deep contract quest by speaking to the Sea People Huntmaster in Lanitra Outpost.
This massive mosasaur is fast for its size and can inflict a fast damage-over-time when it bites your ship, quickly sapping your health! Defeating this monstrous creature will reward you with 2 Monstrous Scales and 3 Monstrous Tooth.

The post with Seamonsters isn't completely accurate. It seems like there are two types of the monster, the the kuharibu (dropping the monstrous tooth) and the Zamaharibu (dropping the monstrous Scales). Last one hasn't spawn yet. Also the maangodin seems to have a second variant, because in the codex, under special material, you will find Vengeful Essence which is dropped by "rode" Maangodin. So it's most likely that there will be an extra bounty for both of them.
