How to Get and Find Legendary Treasure Maps
Legendary Treasure Maps are obtained by participating in the Cutthroat Cargo Hunt world event of Skull and Bones. Learn how to get Legendary Treasure Maps and how to find Legendary Treasure in this guide!
How to Find Legendary Treasure
Proceed to the Skull Icon on Your Map
Retrieving the Legendary Treasure Map marks the outpost containing the treasure on your map or compass with a Skull Icon, even if you've never been to that outpost before! Make your way over to that outpost and dock your ship there.
Docking at Other Outposts Is Not Possible
Keep in mind that if you have the Legendary Treasure Map, you cannot dock at other outposts. You can only dock your ship at the outpost where the Legendary Treasure is located at.
Use the Landmark Drawing to Find the Treasure
Use the landmark drawing on the Legendary Treasure Map as reference when looking for the buried treasure around the outpost. These landmarks can be trees, odd-shaped rocks, or furniture.
To confirm if it's the correct spot, approach it and a red beam of light should appear on the ground, prompting you to dig up a treasure chest which contains rarer and higher-quality items!
You Can Fast Travel Again After Securing Cargo
Take note that fast traveling is disabled until you have landed at the outpost containing the Legendary Treasure. You will receive a notification saying that the Cutthroat Cargo has been secured.

Have Enough Cargo Space to Collect Treasure
Legendary Treasures usually contain a lot of loot and it's highly advised that you have enough space in your ship's cargo hold in order to collect all of them.
How to Get Legendary Treasure Maps
Participate in Cutthroat Cargo Hunts
You can get Legendary Treasure maps by participating in Cutthroat Cargo Hunt world events. Once you've joined, race over to the event location and retrieve the Legendary Treasure Map floating on the water (marked by a red beam of light) before other players get there.
This is a PvP event where joining it marks you as a vulnerable target to other participants of the event.
