How to Survive Rogue Waves

Skull and Bones - How to Survive Rogue Waves

Rogue Waves in Skull and Bones are tall ocean waves that can sink your ship upon hit. See what rogue waves are and how to survive them in this guide!

How to Survive Rogue Waves

Navigate Around the Rogue Wave

We recommend navigating away from a rogue wave if you spot it early. Given enough time, you can maneuver to the sides of rogue waves to move away from their path.

However, make sure your crew has enough stamina! Consider eating food that restores stamina and increases sailing speed.

How to Increase Stamina

Brace Your Ship Perpendicular to the Wave

Based on the game's tips, we also discovered that you can attempt to absorb impacts from rogue waves. When attempting this, brace your ship for impact and position the front or back of your ship perpendicular to the rogue wave.

Your ship will take a lot of damage, but you will not sink. Use a Repair Kit afterward to recover hull health.

What Are Rogue Waves?

Tall Ocean Waves That Can Sink Ships

Rogue waves are large ocean waves that can sink your ships. Rogue waves form when stormy weather is present, so take note before embarking.

Aside from providing general clues about what's happening around you, your crew also informs you if a rogue wave is spotted. We recommend turning Ship Subtitles On to understand what your crew says better.

To turn on Ship Subtitles:

  1. Head to Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Language Tab.
  3. Open Subtitle Settings.
  4. Toggle My Ship under Subtitle Display.
