We recommend prioritizing getting the Blue Specter Weapon Blueprint since it's the strongest Sea Fire weapon currently in the game, boasting the unique Superheated perk that causes the weapon to deal increasing damage when focusing on the same target.
This unique weapon is the best-in-slot for ships that have fire damage perks such as the Firebrand Barge and the Pyromaniac Sambuk!
As a ghostly Dutch Merchant Company warship, Maangodin also drops the standard loot of Dutch-aligned ships such as the Precision Drilling Bit and Screw Mechanism which are specialized materials that only drop from these ships.

Maangodin World Boss Tips and Tricks |

Maangodin is immune to all damage and you can only damage it by shooting the red weak points on its broadsides and stern.
Maangodin's weakpoints are resistant to low-level culverins which means you need to get the Level 3 Culverins and Demi-Cannons to deal significant damage to the ghost ship even when hitting its weak points!
Mortars are effective at hitting Maangodin since these explosives have a large blast radius that can hit all of the ship's weak points in one explosion.
Since Maangodin is a relatively slow ship, aiming these auxiliary weapons is somewhat easier to do than attempting to snipe its weak points with long guns.
Although the starting Mortar I can do fine against Maangdoin, we recommend crafting the Enhanced Mortars so you can deal burst damage against the ghost ship!
The Bombardier Padewakang is one of the best ships for taking on Maangodin as its the first ship you can get that has an auxiliary weapon slot to install Mortars.
It also has enough health to withstand most of Maangodin's attacks when properly armored, and you have the bulk to even ram the ghost ship if you need to make space!
How to Get the Bombardier Padewakang Ship
Location | Weapon T ype |
---|---|
Bow (Front) | Scurlock's Chasers (Long Gun) |
Broadsides | Flooding Demi-cannons III |
Stern (Back) | Fire Bombard II |
Auxiliary | Mortar I |
Scurklock's Chasers are one of the best long guns you can equip on the bow of your boat due to its relatively high damage and range, allowing you to snipe Maangodin's weak points from afar.
Flooding Demi-Cannons are great broadside weapons thanks to their high spread, which means you don't have to worry too much about accurately aiming when firing the broadside cannons when you're close to the ghost ship.
We recommend a Fire Bombard on the stern so you can deal AOE damage against Maangodin when you need to break away from combat to heal.
Finally, the starting Mortar I is a great choice for the Auxilliary slot thanks to its large blast radius that can hit the entire ghost ship in one salvo.
Maangodin is a ghostly pirate ship stalking the open waters southeast of Port l'Hermine that only appears at night. The ghostly ship wields otherworldly weapons and is immune to all damage save for the three weak points on its broadsides and stern.
