What Are Side Contracts?

Side Quests and Missions

Side Contracts are optional side quests that players can accept across the open seas. These quests are outside of the main story progression and are often picked up alongside them.

There are three confirmed side contract types in Skull and Bones:

  • Side Contracts: Standard one-and-done side contracts that players come across as they progress through the story and unlock regions in the open world.
  • Repeatable Contracts: Side contracts that can be repeated for additional rewards.
  • Bounty Contracts: Combat-based side contracts with a target bounty attached to them.

Interactive Map and Points of Interrest

Side Contract Rewards

1. Infamy and XP

On top of XP rewards, Side Contracts also reward Infamy once completed. We recommend players run side contracts alongside main contracts to ensure their infamy keeps up as they progress through the story.

2. Resources and Loot

Certain Side Contracts also reward players with Resources and Equipment, making them especially worthwhile in the early and midgame.

How to Unlock Side Contracts

1. Progress Your Main Campaign

Side Contract unlock throughout specific points in your main campaign. Develop a habit of opening your map and check for new side contracts across the world.

2. Raise Your Infamy

Certain Side Contracts also require a specific Infamy Rank. If your rank is insufficient, consider progressing your main campaign or participate in World Events until you reach the side contract's pre-requisite.
