Ambush Walkthrough and Objectives

Main Objectives

Look for Arnold's ship in Batavia Reefs
Dig up Arnold's belongings in the Dutchman Camp outpost

Quest Walkthrough

1	Look for Arnold's wrecked ship north of the Dutchman's Camp, in the Open Seas region. Make sure you destroy the watchtower nearby first to salvage his ship safely. You'll receive a clue after salvaging the wreckage. Read it to unlock the next clue.
2	Head to Dutchman's Camp. His belongings are stashed just beside the outpost's cookery. Read the clue inside to finish the investigation.

I would have thought a walkthrough would give you an explanation as to how you get the investigation to begin with, after that everything else is marked on the map or the investigation pages themselves.....
