Doing Main and Side Contracts is the fastest and most efficient way to raise your Infamy. This is due to the large amount of Infamy they reward you for completing them.
While World Events are indeed challenging due to how tough the world bosses are, they can be done in a group! This makes these events quite easy to accomplish and should give you a quick amount of Infamy in return.
Be sure to keep an eye out on your in-game map for any of these events!
If you have a treasure map with you (Old or New), make sure to track down the treasure that it leads you to, as uncovering hidden treasures will also level up your Infamy.
Treasures are often found on outposts, so be sure to make use of the fast travel system that the game has to get there quickly!
How to Find and Dig Up Treasure
Discovering new locations will slowly increase your Infamy. While certainly not the best method, you'll often be sailing the seas and visiting new points of interest frequently in this game.
