Skull and Bones is not an MMO but is an open world adventure game played either in the first-person or third-person perspective where players can explore areas from the Coast of Africa to the islands of the East Indies.

Players can craft ships and engage in naval combat either by taking on a solo journey or by partying up with other players. Apart from encountering other players through combat, you can also encounter them walking around town where you can invite them to join your crew.
