Long Guns and their enhanced counterparts are recommended to use for the Bow. Long Guns deal heavy damage in a single shot from afar, making it ideal for sniping enemies before they can get close to you and reach their effective range, or when they're trying to retreat.
Take note, however, that Long Guns have poor reload speed and elemental damage, but these weaknesses can be covered by your Broadside weapons.

Demi-cannons and their enhanced versions are weapons that fire spread shots for extra damage. They also have good reload speed and elemental damage.
Demi-cannons become your primary weapon in short to medium range fights, making your ship a formidable force in all ranges and sieging.
Blueprints are required for crafting. You can stumble upon blueprints scattered across the open world or purchase them from vendors in outposts.
Weapons can be crafted at Blacksmiths located in Pirate Dens and Outposts in exchange for Resources and Silver.
How to Get All Resources and Materials
Better weapons can be unlocked at the Blacksmith the higher your Infamy grows. Infamy can be increased by fulfilling Contracts and other side quests.
Deck weapons are versatile weapons that can be fitted in the Bow and Broadsides of a ship. These serve as the primary weapons of your ship during combat, and some are able to inflict special damage types.
