To obtain Crustle's 1 Star photo, start Badlands (Day) at Research Level 1. Look to your right to find the Crustle and take a photo of it. Note that a photo of Crustle hiding its face also counts as a 1 Star photo.

Start Badlands (Night) at Research Level 1. Use Turbo to get ahead of the Crustle near the pool of water and feed it with a Fluffruit. Take a photo of it reacting to the Fluffruit or eating it to obtain its 2 Star photo.

Start Badlands (Day) at Research Level 2. At the beginning of the course, you can find two Crustles fighting near the pool of water. Take a photo of the two Pokemon to obtain its 3 Star photo.

This photo can be taken as part of the Crust-side Down Lentalk Request. Start Badlands (Night) at Research Level 2 and hit Tyranitar with a Fluffruit. Note that you need to wake up Tyranitar with its back turned.
If done correctly, Tyranitar will wake up and attack the nearby Crustle. Take a photo of Crustle upside down to obtain its 4 Star photo and complete the request.
