Right at the beginning of the course, look right and scan. In the bushes you should see an Aipom hiding that scans as ??? Throw some fluffruit at it and you’ll see it again when you come down the waterfall where it’ll meet up with the other Pokémon and run along the course with them.
I finally found that Tropius! At level 3, throw an Illumina orb at the bubbles at the start to make Wooper come out. Then Tropius will appear with Wooper on it's head on the main path after you pass the entrance to the alternate path. This is basically what the guide says but where I was getting stuck is that if you take the alt path, they show up at the end instead, which doesn't count for that spot on the map.
Does anyone know how to get a picture of the tropius by the alternative route on the map? I can't find the one to complete the map :/

How do you get the Aipom to move throughout the course? I can't seem to get them past the first rapids.
Yes this works for me as well, it also pushes you up onto the nearby ledge where woopers are
There is a request for Mightywide River (evening) called "Diving Spot". When you begin the level and join the main river, straight across atop the cliff is a Feraligatr. I threw an illuminated orb and a fluff fruit at him and he ran off. A bit further down the path where there are ariados and quagmire and soopers on the left is where you need to look up and to the right where a ledge is poking out over the river. There Feraligatr will jump off that ledge and into the river. It's a 4-star photo.
