You can get a 1 Star photo of Hydreigon by taking a photo of the Pokemon as it flies, but to get the most points from your photo, you can follow the same steps as getting Hydreigon's 4 Star photo to bring Hydreigon closer to the player. In between its roars, Hydreigon will fly from one spot to another. Take a photo of Hydreigon while it is flying to get a 1 Star photo.

To get a 2 Star photo of Hydreigon, you need to take a photo of the Pokemon as it flinches after you toss a Fluffruit at it. To get the best view of the Pokemon when you hit it, you can follow the same steps as taking Hydreigon's 4 Star photo and throw the Fluffruit at Hydreigon as it is roaring.

You can get a 3 Star photo of Hydreigon by following the same steps as taking Hydreigon's 4 Star photo. After you perform the steps and Hydreigon roars for the first time, it will fly upwards towards the upper level of the cave and roar at you again. You have to capture Hydreigon as it is doing its second roar and not the initial roar since that photo will result in a 4 Star.

To get a 4 Star photo of Hydreigon, you need to start the Cave course at Research Level 3 and get the Pokemon to roar at you while moving its head from left to right. You can trigger this action by following the steps laid out in the table.
1 | Toss two Fluffruit at Hydreigon as it descends the large chasm until it roars at you. Make sure to wait for Hydreigon to continue flying before tossing the second Fluffruit. |

2 | In the final area of the course, prepare to take the photo as you see Hydreigon fly upwards from the lower level to the upper level of the cave. |
3 | Take a photo of Hydreigon during its initial roar to get a 4 Star photo. |
