To get a 1 Star photo of Sandygast, simply take a close-up photo of the Pokemon after it emerges from the sand. In Beach (Night), you get Sandygast out of the sand by throwing fluffruit at the red shovel sticking out of the sand.
There are 2 Sandygast in the final area, extremely close to the path of the NEO-ONE, so it won't be difficult to get a close-up photo. Try to capture the photo as soon as you get the Sandygast to emerge, so that it's already facing somewhat in your direction.

To attain the 2 Star photo, you can capture Sandygast right as it emerges from the sand. However, if you already got Sandygast to emerge from the sand without taking the photo, you can also get the 2 Star photo by throwing another fluffruit at it and snapping a photo when it recoils from the impact.

Sandygast will yawn/widely open its mouth at random occurrences. Simply snap a close-up photo of it doing so for the 3 Star photo.

To take a 4 Star photo of Sandygast, you need to follow the steps to completing the Bigger! Even Bigger! request and capture a photo of the Pokemon as it grows larger each time Crabrawler tosses sand at it.
