Skill issue.
His shield is thicker than Adventurine like 1k HP, they took away the mechanics of interaction with other characters' passives, the ultimate takes longer to charge. His cone is now mandatory. There's a big nerf here
His shield after nerf still able to sustain the team comfortably in Anomaly Arbitration at E0S0. Those showcase video on youtube shown Gallagher, HuoHuo, Luocha can't do that. Adventurine and Lingsha BARELY able to. Only HIM and Hyacine can do that

These comments make me want to kms. Of COURSE the animations won't be amazing; yall are expecting so much ever since Phainon and Castorice's banners. Not every character needs such flashy animations as long as they get the job done. Also if he is a free unit, don't be surprised the animations don't look super high quality. They're FREE. TLDR: who gives a shit man. Don't like it? Don't use him.

Ya'll are just spoiled after Castorice and Phainon, and I'm saying that as a Phainon main and Castorice enjoyer. But to each their own. LOL The animations for both look awesome and fit their themes.
