The Herta, Anaxa, Jade, and Huohuo are Stage 2's trial characters.
For Planet C996, The Herta and Jade will be your main damage dealers with their AoE attacks. As many of the enemies in Stage 2 have an Ice weakness, The Herta will be especially helpful.
In terms of supports, Anaxa is able to implant weaknesses on enemies and also deal additional damage in the process. Lastly, Huohuo will be your dedicated healer that can provide Energy and ATK boosts.

Weapon Base Effect: Summons "New Moon's Oath" that has 150 SPD. When it takes action, barrages all enemies 1 time(s), dealing Ice DMG equal to 400% of base DMG, and has a 20% fixed chance of triggering consecutive attacks, up to 4 times. |

New Moon's Oath is a great source of DMG since its attacks can help clear out groups of enemies with its AoE attacks. Combined with the Solar Symbol weapon, you'll be able to forge the Crest of Sol and Lune twin weapon that's even stronger and can target 4 elemental weaknesses!
Evergreen Spring, on the other hand, provides good Ice and Quantum DMG buffs, which are good for The Herta and Jade.

If you've already fully upgraded the best weapons for Stage 2 or don't encounter them in the randomized options, these weapons are good secondary choices as well!
Waning Selenic Chakram is great as an extra damage source, especially since you can trigger it more often by using Skills. The team's AoE attacks will also make Spear of Eternal Ice trigger more often as well and help bring down tougher enemies.
How to Beat Planet C996
Implant Weaknesses with Anaxa
While many enemies in this stage are weak to Ice, you'll still want to make use of Anaxa's Skill and Ultimate to implant weaknesses on as many enemies as possible.
This ensures that The Herta and Jade will still be able to do decent damage against enemies who aren't originally weak to their respective elements.
Use AoE Attacks to Raise Team Level
Throughout Stage 2, there'll be a lot of weaker mobs that are easier to take down. Use The Herta and Jade's AoE attacks to defeat them quickly and raise your Team Level faster.
The more Team Levels you reach, the more you'll be able to boost your party's ATK and obtain higher level weapons. Weapons that can deal damage to all enemies on the field will be especially useful in this challenge!
