Most enemies in this cavern have weaknesses against Fire, Wind, and Ice. These F2P characters will be able to cover these weaknesses while still offering decent damage and protection.

Dan Heng will be your main damage dealer while Herta helps bring down enemies' Toughness. The Fire Trailblazer can also help inflict Weakness Breaks while also protecting the team. Apart from healing, Natasha can restore skill points for the team through Basic ATKs.

Mixed Elemental Team

Yanqing	Sampo	Trailblazer (Fire)	Luocha

These characters can take further advantage of the cavern's Special Mechanism. Yanqing will be the main damage dealer and the Fire Trailblazer can tank the Malefic Ape's attacks while also providing Fire DoT from Weakness Breaks.

Sampo will be able to inflict Wind Shear and enhance DoT statuses inflicted by other allies. Lastly, Luocha can provide healing without using his skill and also deal decent DMG to bring down enemy Toughness.

How to Beat Path of Elixir Seekers

Take Out the Wooden Lupus First

The Wooden Lupus has the ability to summon Shadow Jackhyenas which will have the same HP and prolong the fight. Take the Wooden Lupus out first to avoid having to deal with the additional summons.

Get the Malefic Ape to Target a Tank

When the Malefic Ape enters the battle, it will mark a random ally to be the target of its attacks. However, you can have another ally use their Skill to become the new target.

Get a shielder or a unit that has high DEF or HP to take on its attacks to avoid having weaker allies take on too much damage. Other party members will have to deal Basic ATKs and Ultimates until the Malefic Ape enters Exhaustion and cannot mark allies anymore.
